FACILITY CONDITION ASSESSMENT FOR REGION OF PEEL
The Region of Peel’s priority is to provide safe and healthy environments to residents, employees, and visitors while providing reliable and continuous operations and service delivery.
Establish an accurate capital plan for the Region’s diverse portfolio to maintain the assets in good condition; optimize and protect the assets; avoid service interruption due to equipment failure; capture required renovation projects; and analyse decommissioning vs. continued investment.

ENGINEERING STUDIES FOR HYDRO ONE
The Hydro One Maintenance Building is used to service 90ft high transformers while draining polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) into large underground storage tanks.
Design a practical solution to protect the underground PCB storage tanks. Engineering studies revealed that the public and private water supply was inadequate for a traditional foam system.
Nadine International Inc. designed and managed the construction of a new Integrated Compressed Air Foam (ICAF) System to protect the underground storage tanks. This system was the first application for protecting large underground storage tanks.
The ICAF system eliminates the need to update existing water supply. Since the ICAF system uses a quarter of the water supply required for a regular foam system, Hydro One did not need to make a very large investment in providing additional water supply.
